From your first call to your learner's first day

Starting ABA therapy shouldn't feel like a maze. Here's every step, what it involves, and roughly how long it takes — so you always know where you stand and what's coming next.

You reach out

Register online in less than 3 minutes, or call us at 636.400.7778. Someone from our team gets back to you within five business days — not "when we can."

Time frame: 1-5 business days

We talk

A short conversation, usually 15 to 20 minutes, about your learner, what you're seeing, what you've already tried, and what you're hoping for. We'll collect your insurance information and answer anything you want to ask. There's no pressure in this call.

Time frame: 15-20 minutes

We verify your benefits

We contact your insurance carrier directly, confirm your coverage, and pursue prior authorization if your plan requires it. You don't have to make a single phone call. We'll tell you exactly what we find, including anything that isn't good news.

Time frame: 1-3 weeks, depending on the barrier

The assessment

A Board Certified Behavior Analyst meets your learner, observes, and completes a full assessment. We're looking for strengths as much as needs — what your learner can already do matters just as much as what they're working toward.

Time frame: 2-4 hours, sometimes across more than one visit

The treatment plan

Your BCBA builds an individualized plan and walks you through it in plain language, not clinical jargon. You'll know what the goals are, why they were chosen, how many hours are recommended, and how progress gets measured. You have a say in this — if a goal doesn't matter to your family, say so.

Time frame: 1-2 weeks after assement

Therapy begins

Your learner starts — at our Florissant center, in your home, or virtually. You'll get regular progress updates and ongoing parent training, because what your learner learns with us has to work at home too.

Time frame: ongoing

What a day at our center looks like

Our Florissant center runs three daily blocks: mornings from 9:00 to 12:00, afternoons from 12:30 to 3:30, and an after-school block from 4:00 to 6:00.

The after-school block exists because school-age learners can’t come at ten in the morning. During that block we run a social skills group at the clinic, and our in-home team serves school-age learners at home.

Your child works one-on-one with a behavior technician under BCBA supervision. The day mixes structured teaching with natural, play-based learning, peer interaction, and real breaks. Learning is supposed to feel like play, and for most of our kids, it does.

What we ask of you

ABA works best when it doesn't stop at our door. We ask families to take part in parent training, to keep us informed when things change at home, and to tell us honestly when something isn't working.

You're part of the treatment team, not a bystander to it.

What if it's not the right fit?

Sometimes it isn't, and we'd rather say so than keep a family in a program that isn't serving them. If a different service model, a different provider, or a different kind of support would serve your learner better, we'll tell you and help you find it.
